I am a MRes student in Economics at the Paris School of Economics (PSE) working under the supervision of Jérôme Bourdieu on the financing of primary public schools in late nineteenth century France. Prior to that, I completed a MPhil dissertation, under the supervision of Alexis Litvine, on “The public provision of education: investments, governance and school quality in the Pas-de-Calais during the early Third Republic” at Cambridge, Queens’ College. I also worked as a Pre-Doc on American Public Health, with Chima Ndumele and Jacob Wallace, at the Yale School of Public Health as part of the Tobin predoctoral program at Yale.

My main interest is the construction of the nation-state through the provision of public services. I am currently working on the provision of primary education but I am also very much interested in the organisation of health care and health insurance in the US and in Europe.
